Now it was time to install the solar PV panels. These will help to power our house and reduce our ongoing electricity bills.
Because of the amount of trees we have, the panels would not work on the roof due to shading, So they are ground mounted in the one gap between the trees.
Start by making a frame and mounting the panels.
The panels are arranged as an East / West split to try and maximise generation time during the day to maximise self usage potential, rather than maximising total output.
Having created this structure, it was apparent, that it would be easy to enclose the space under it to form a useful covered shelter.
Inside this is being used as a bike shed, and a general covered storage space
