Now that the house is signed off as “completed” we are finishing some of the details that had to wait due to time and finances.
The first one of these is the mezanine in the largest bedroom which had just been an undeveloped storage platform where you put a free standing ladder up to it.
It now has a space saving staircase and some floor to ceiling spindles to make it safe to walk up there (though there is barely standing room for a short person) It will remain as a storage space though now more accessible and somewhat safer.
As well as this both main bedrooms have had carpet fitted for the first time, and the stair carpet is ordered and should be fitted before Christmas. This is all making the house more comfortable and more finished.
